Mrs Lalande's interview


How did you become an English teacher?


At the university, in France, she studied English and Spanish. She also learned German and Portuguese. After, she went to England and worked in logistics in a removal company. Then she came in France to be a substitute teacher for 4 years. Finally, she received her exam to become teacher.


Do you like your job? And do you want to change your job? (Will it be a job using English?)


Yes, she loves her job. She doesn’t want to change.


What are your favourite sports and which sport do you do?


Since the lockdown, she does Yoga because being teacher is very stressful.


What do you prefer in your job?


In her job, she likes to explain something and helping her students when she sees that they don’t understand the lesson.


Is it difficult to be an English teacher and why?


Sometimes some pupils hate English so they don’t want to do English. They think they can’t do better so they don’t work.


Have you ever lived in an English-speaking country?


Yes, when she was a student, she went to Scottland and lived there for 7 months because she failed her studies. Then she went in London to study in logistic for 1 year.


Why did you want to become an English teacher?


She wanted to become an English teacher because her favourite language is English. She also loves English culture and all the things that touch English.


Do you like “La Perverie” and why?


Yes, she really like la Perverie. She appreciates her colleagues and the atmosphere of La Perverie. Furthermore, the pupils are mostly nice.
